Every decision I make as your County Commissioner comes back to one simple question:
“Will this make Grand County stronger for the people who live here today and for the generations who will call it home tomorrow?”
Public service isn’t about politics—it’s about stewardship. It’s about listening, solving problems, protecting what makes Grand County special, and ensuring local government remains accountable to the people it serves.
These are the principles that guide every decision I make.
Putting Taxpayers First
The people of Grand County are not an endless source of revenue—they are the reason county government exists.
Every proposal deserves two simple questions:
Is this a responsible use of taxpayer dollars?
Is this truly in the best interest of Grand County residents?
If the answer isn’t yes, we should rethink it. Government should live within its means just like the families and businesses it serves.
Integrity First
Trust is earned. Residents deserve elected officials who are honest, transparent, and willing to follow through on their commitments. My word should mean something, and every decision I make should reflect the confidence you’ve placed in me.
Integrity isn’t a campaign promise—it’s a daily responsibility.
Fairness Without Favoritism
Good government applies the same rules to everyone.
Whether you’re a lifelong rancher, a small business owner, a new resident, or a visitor investing in our community, you deserve to be treated fairly and consistently.

Protecting Essential Services
One of county government’s most important responsibilities is protecting people.
That means supporting strong emergency services, public safety, public health, human services, and emergency preparedness so families know help will be there when they need it most.
Serving our community also means serving it with compassion.

Our communities may be unique, but our future is shared.
East Grand and West Grand each contribute to what makes this county extraordinary. Our agricultural roots, outdoor recreation, tourism economy, and local businesses are all part of the same story.
Rather than allowing differences to divide us, I believe we should focus on the values and opportunities that unite us.

I believe strong communities are built by empowered individuals.
Protecting private property rights, respecting individual liberty, and encouraging personal responsibility are foundational principles of good government.
These freedoms have helped build Grand County, and they deserve to be protected.
